My best childhood memory is the first day at my school. It is an unforgettable dan in my life. It was a new experience and a good opportunity for me. I was a bit scared on that day but I didn't cry. I can remember both my parents came to drop me to school that day. We are the second batch of our school. The elder sisters in our school welcomed us with love. A ceremony also held at the school to welcome us.    After the ceremony we were taken to the classroom. It was a beautiful place. Then after I talked with my new friends and started to playing with them. I met a lovely person there, She is my class teacher. The reason why I like this memory is because it changed my life and I met a new society. So it is my second home.

  My favourite musician is Pandit W. D. Amaradewa. He is a singer, player, music director and also music composer. Pandit Amaradewa is a very talented violin player. He is occasionally cites as the ' Maestro of Sri Lanka '. He sang many different types of songs. Among those songs my favourite one is 'Sannaliyane' song. His voice is vvery clear and emotional. Amaradewa received so many awards in his music life. There are 'Philippine Ramon Magsaysay Award' ,'Indian Padma Sri Award' ,'Sri Lankan's President's Award of Kala Keerthi' and Deshamanya Award. He adapted to the tolk tradition and created a unique sinhala style of music that included out side influences. He made a great contribution to the classical music in Sri Lanka. There are many  beautiful  and  interesting  movies  in Sinhala Cinema. But I  personally  like  the Saragama movie  that  released  recently. It  was  a  musical  film  and  it  is  released  in  2016. This  movie was  written  and  directed  by  Dr. Somarathna  Dissanayake. And  it  was  produced  by  his  wife, Renuka  Balasooriya.   There are many impressive places in our country. Among those places I like to visit Sigiriya very much. So it is the 8th wonder of the earth. Now it is a Unesco world heritage site. It is located in town of Dambulla, Matale District in Central Province. The Sigiriya rock is about 200 meters high. It was built by the King Kashyapa in fifth century. Sigiriya is a highly tourist attracted destination in Sri Lanka. The Sigiriya rock has its own attractive royal gardens, boulder gardens, water gardens etc. The entrance of this rock is very special because a lion paw staircase at the entrance. The forest around the Sigiriya is very impressive. Because of these things, I like to explore Sigiriya. We must protect this world heritage in our country.

               🤗 When I was in grade 9, that is in 2015, my family had organized a trip to Nuwara Eliya. Some of my friends also joined with us. It made this trip very special for me. It was a two day trip.                            🤗 We left for the trip on a saturday morning. We went to the trip by a van. First we visited to Temple of the Tooth in Kandy.
